not from Akira!? Very slick design and shape. Looks wickedly functional!

It is from akira... Kaneda was the main character in that movie, thats why its titled what it is... I tried to make it as functional as i could, I used as much of the bike that was actually made in real life as I could without losing the look of the one in the anime...

Thanks but I cant take credit for the deign and shape...

Thanks... But the design really isnt mine... I just modeled it...

Very nice bike, and I like the scraped off paint on the top part, though the rest look like they were placed a bit more randomly.

One thing though, you really should just use normal mapping for the small details. I know it's meant to be a high poly model, but the wheels look so simple and yet they have a ton of polygons. =\

It looks good though but the render times should really be just a few seconds...do you just have a slow computer or what?

Thanks...

The polys on the wheels arnt that high. It might look like it in the wire because I have meshes under the tires. I made some of the stuff enclosed in the body so I can remove parts of the shell and show some of the mechanics, like the shocks and under caps on the tires...

My computers not slow, it hasnt been top of the line for a couple years, but its not bad... When i rendered just the mesh it was a couple seconds... The textures jumped it to 20 to 40 minutes and the lighting, specifficly the skylight pushed it to what it was in the end...
